Reddit Headquarters: Address and Office Locations 2026

Reddit Headquarters

Reddit’s headquarters is in San Francisco, California. Its most recent SEC filing in our research, an April 2026 report, lists the principal executive offices at 303 2nd Street, South Tower, 5th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94107. Many online directories still show an older Market Street address instead, and this guide explains the difference. It also covers Reddit’s other offices, when Reddit was created, what the company does, what a Redditor is, and how new.reddit.com and old.reddit.com work. Information is current as of October 2026.

Reddit Headquarters Address

The address in Reddit’s latest SEC filing

Reddit, Inc. is a public company, so it must state its principal executive offices in filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. A Form 8-K dated April 30, 2026 gives:

Reddit, Inc.
303 2nd Street, South Tower, 5th Floor
San Francisco, California 94107
Phone: (415) 494-8016

SEC filings from August 2025 list the same street address. Some of them print the ZIP as 94104 and others as 94107, so use 94107 as on the 2026 filing.

Why you may see a different address online

Several directory sites list Reddit at “548 Market Street, Suite 16093.” That is not the address in Reddit’s current filings. In 2024 SEC filings, Reddit’s business address was 1455 Market Street, Suite 1600, and a separate Market Street entry with the number 16093 appeared as its mailing address. A mailing address is where mail is received. It is not necessarily where employees work.

Directory pages are often generated automatically and rarely say when their data was last checked. For the headquarters address, rely on a recent company filing.

How big is the headquarters?

Reddit’s annual report for 2025 says the company leases about 48,000 square feet of office space at its San Francisco headquarters, under a lease that runs until 2029. The same report says Reddit leases other offices in the United States and abroad and lets employees work remotely or from an office.

Reddit’s Other Office Locations

Reddit's Other Office Locations

Reddit’s annual report names New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and London as additional offices, followed by “and more”. It does not give street addresses for them. The table below shows how the main sources compare.

LocationReddit’s annual report (10-K)Other sources
San Francisco, CAHeadquartersAll sources agree
New York, NYNamedAlso listed by a job-listing directory
Chicago, ILNamedAlso listed by a job-listing directory
Los Angeles, CANamedAlso listed by a job-listing directory
London, UKNamedAlso listed by two office directories
Amsterdam, NetherlandsNot namedTwo office directories list it. I could not confirm it from a company source, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Reddit also says employees can work remotely, so the number of people at any one office may be small. Because of this, Reddit’s HQ is not a destination in the way a retail location is. This article found no company statement about public tours or walk-in visits, so contact Reddit through its official channels before visiting an office.

When Was Reddit Created?

When was Reddit created

Reddit launched in June 2005. Wikipedia gives the date as June 23, 2005, while Britannica says only 2005. It was created by two University of Virginia roommates, Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian, after they joined Y Combinator’s first class. Aaron Swartz joined later that year when his company merged with Reddit, and he is often listed as a co-founder, though Ohanian has disputed that label.

Key dates from Britannica and Wikipedia:

  • 2005: Reddit launches. Wikipedia’s timeline says the company was founded in Medford, Massachusetts.
  • 2006: Condé Nast buys Reddit. Advance Publications, which owns Condé Nast, is still described as Reddit’s largest shareholder.
  • 2015: Steve Huffman returns as CEO.
  • March 2024: Reddit lists on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker RDDT.

I did not find a reliable source describing when and why Reddit’s base moved to San Francisco, so this article does not make a claim about that.

What Does Reddit Do?

Reddit runs a website and mobile app made up of communities called subreddits. People post links, text, images and video, comment on one another’s posts, and vote content up or down. Highly voted content rises, and volunteer moderators write and enforce each community’s rules. Reddit is free to use, with a paid tier called Reddit Premium.

Financial data profiles describe advertising as Reddit’s largest source of revenue, followed by data licensing and premium subscriptions. Those profiles are summaries compiled by data providers, so check Reddit’s latest annual report for exact figures.

What Is a Redditor?

A Redditor is a registered user of Reddit. Redditors can join subreddits, post, comment, and upvote or downvote content. Moderators are Redditors who volunteer to manage a particular subreddit. The word refers to users, not to Reddit employees.

new.reddit.com vs old.reddit.com

new.reddit.com vs old.reddit.com

Reddit’s website has changed design more than once, which is why these two addresses still get searched.

  • old.reddit.com is the older web interface. In an August 2024 post, a Reddit administrator said the company had no plans to remove it. You can reach it by changing the address or through account settings.
  • new.reddit.com used to open a previous version of the redesign. The same administrator post said URLs containing new.reddit.com would route to the same pages on the current platform. Moderators kept limited access to the older tools until they were migrated.
  • reddit.com is the current main site.

Reddit may change these behaviors again, so check the current address behavior if it matters to you.

Who Runs Reddit?

Steve Huffman is Reddit’s CEO. He signed the company’s 2025 annual report as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director on February 5, 2026. Andrew Vollero is the Chief Financial Officer.
